 What is Miva?
Miva Merchant is an E-Commerce package that includes all the capabilities of an online store. It is a browser based storefront and catalog development tool that integrates cataloging, product, fulfillment, maintenance, category management, shopping basket, order and credit card processing.

How do I set up a Miva account?
To sign up for a Miva Merchant account, contact the Sales Team toll-free at 888-808-5468 or via e-mail at sales@GoMetanet.com You will receive a reply welcome e-mail that will have instructions and a special license key to help you set up your account. Once you get the e-mail, log in to the URL from your e-mail and follow the instructions on the screens. Here are some notes to help you through them:
Log in to the URL given in your welcome e-mail message. Your Miva Merchant License Number will be found in the welcome e-mail message. Unless you are upgrading, click Next and ignore the Activate Upgrade License link. Your Miva account will already have the needed directories installed and you don't need to change them. You should copy the information for your further use. The Mail Server is: mail.njd.xo.com .
The box next to Add Angle Brackets to Email Addresses should be checked. Click Next. The User Name is what you will use when logging into the Miva site to set up your store. Also make sure to remember your password. You will be shown a screen to review your information. Make any needed changes by clicking Previous or click Finish to accept the information. You will get a congratulations screen that will list three important items:

The URL for the administrative interface. This is where you go to build your store. Your login name for entering the administrative interface. The URL for your storefront -- where you send your customers.

 What is PPI?
PPI is a financial institution merchant account provider that manages your real-time credit card processing. Once this account has been applied for and approved, it is used along with your CyberCash gateway account to process your customer's credit card payments--which are then deposited into your business banking account. Obtaining approval for a PPI credit card merchant account takes approximately 5 to 10 business days, from receipt of your completed application, since the account requires your signature as well as the bank's approval.
